Jantzen Frazier - Firefighter - Alabama

Jantzen Frazier, age 28, died in the line of duty on October 17, 2013, in Morgan County, Alabama.

Jantzen was a volunteer member of Oden Ridge Fire and Rescue.

He saw smoke coming from the house behind his own. He called it in, retrieved the tanker truck, and was on the way to the fire when he lost control of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time.

Jantzen graduated from Hartselle High School in 2003.  He enlisted in the Army on his 18th birthday, April 9, 2003.

He was deployed several times to war zones and was severely injured by shrapnel on one occasion.   Jantzen received the Purple Heart.

Friends stated that Jantzen was their hero.  His firefighter comrades are in mourning. 

Jantzen is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Debbie Frazier; his father, Murrell Frazier; his wife and four children.

Thank you for serving, Jantzen. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Pray for all who die by misadventure.  They are with us one moment and gone the next.  Amen. 

Pray that Jantzen is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
