Tracy Stapley - U.S. Military

1st Sgt. Tracy L. Stapley, age 44, of Clearfield, Utah, died on July 3, 2013, at Camp As-Sayliyah, Qatar, in a non-combat related incident.

The incident is under investigation.

He was assigned to the 308th Medical Logistics Company, Saint George, Utah.

He had 26 years of service with the military. He both worked for and served with an Army reserve unit in Ogden, Utah, the 172nd Multifunctional Medical Battalion. In his civilian life, he was the unit’s staff administrator. He had moved over to serve as the senior enlisted officer with the 308th Medical Logistics Company out of St. George when it deployed in February of 2013 to Qatar.

served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Argentina. He was popular and was loved by everyone.

He wanted to serve his country and his family is proud of his service.

Tracy is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father, Elwin Stapley; his wife Antoinette; his son, Trase; and his daughter, Kennedy. He was predeceased by his mother.
