Dermot O'Toole - store owner murdered in Hastings, Australia

Dermot O'Toole, age 64, died on July 12, 2013, at his jewellery store in Hastings, south of Melbourne, Australia.

He had been stabbed in an armed robbery.

His wife, Bridget, age 63, was also injured in the attack.

Gavin Perry, age 26, of Crib Point, has been charged with murder in connection with this crime. Dermot O'Toole was killed for $200. worth of jewellery.

Dermot was born in Galway, Ireland. He and his wife opened their jewellery shop 26 years ago. They were known for treating their customers like friends.

Dermot was delighted at becoming a grandfather for the fourth time.

He is described as a family man who was proud of his kids. He is described as courageous and loving with a sense of humour and an ever-present smile.

Dermot is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife, Bridget; and his three sons - Christian, Dale and Trent.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Dermot is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
