William Sprague - Law Enforcement - Texas

Officer William Sprague
Officer William Sprague, age 30, died in the line of duty on June 15, 2013, at a hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

William was a member of the Texarkana Police Department. He had a little under a year and a half of service with the Department.

Prior to coming to Texarkana, he worked for Grant County Arkansas Sheriff's Department for a year and a half and for the Pine Bluff Arkansas Police Department for almost 4 years.

Two days earlier, on June 13, 2013, he and other officers responded to a disturbance call at Grady T. Wallace Park around 12:45 a.m.

When the Police arrived, a number of cars started to speed away and one of them struck Officer Sprague who was out of his vehicle at the time.

charged with aggravated assault on a public servant. It is alleged he intentionally struck Officer Sprague.

William is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother and step-father; Marsa and Mike Green; his father, Chipper Sprague; two brothers and two sisters; his wife Stephanie and his 4 year old son, Caden.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. Amen.
