Mitch Mobley - Store Owner murdered in Georgia

Mitch Mobley, age 45, died on June 26, 2012, in Villa Rica, Georgia.

Mitch was shot and killed about 12:30 p.m. by four men who entered his jewelry store in order to rob it.

One of the suspects had a large hammer used for smashing display cases. Another suspect, Eric Billings, age 16, of College Park, Georgia, had a gun.

The four men fled the store and towards a getaway vehicle that was possibly driven by a fifth suspect.

Ururahy Rodrigues who owns a gym next to the Mobley Jewelry Company was able to grab Eric Billings and hold him until the police arrived.

Eric Billings has been charged as an adult with murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Raphael Rucker, age 23, of Atlanta, was charged with murder and armed robbery.


Two or three other suspects are still at large as of this posting.

Friends describe Mitch Mobley as helpful and kind in his dealings with others.  He was also known for hosting golf tournaments to benefit causes such as cancer research.

Others stated that Mitch did a lot for the community. He was well-liked.


Mitch is survived by many loving friends and relatives. 

Pray for justice for Mitch.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen. 


Pray that Mitch is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
