She was found lying on the sidewalk in front of a house in Waukesha. She had a gunshot wound to the head.
Witnesses said that at 7:15 p.m., they saw a black male shove Nani out of a house. Then heard gunshots and Nani fell to the ground.
Eddie Callaway, age 26, has been charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide, and is wanted by law enforcement officials. He has not been apprehended as of this posting.

Nani and Eddie Callaway dated off and on for 2 years.
Eddie Callaway has a prehistory of violence and odd behaviour. Callaway had a restraining order against him that prevented him from possessing a firearm because he had held knives and guns to another girlfriend's throat, threatening to kill her. He would also stalk this woman at her place of work, choke her and verbally and physically abuse her. This woman was not Nani Negron.
Nani worked at Carroll University as a food server. Friends there describe her as outgoing and friendly. She is also described as sweet, open to others and sociable.
Nani was known for her contagious laugh. She is described as a devoted mother to her 3 year old daughter.

Nani is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her sister, Danielle Rivera; and her 3 year old daughter.
Pray for an end to the violence against women. Amen.
God save us from the freaks who tell us they love us and then kill us. Amen.
Pray that Nani is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
