Dunsmuir Family - tragic fire in Ontario Town

Kevin and Jennifer
Kevin Dunsmuir, age 55, his wife Jennifer, age 51, and their sons Robert, age 19, and Cameron, age 16, died on March 29, 2013, in a tragic house fire in East Gwillimbury, Ontario.

The cause of the fire is unknown as of this posting. The fire is believed to have started around 5:00 a.m.

Kevin was a well-known lawyer in Newmarket, Ontario and Jennifer, his wife, was recovering from a brain aneurysm and had mobility issues.

All four bodies were found in the master bedroom on the second floor. It is speculated that Kevin and his sons rushed to Jennifer to help her exit the house, but were overcome by smoke or flames.

The family is described as well-rounded. Kevin and Jennifer are described as good
Cameron and Robert
parents. They were friendly and welcoming and their house was open to the friends of the boys.

Friends stated that Kevin took very good care of his wife.

Cameron was a student at Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket, and Robert just graduated from the same school.

Kevin, Jennifer, Robert and Cameron are survived by many loving friends and relatives, including their son and brother, David Dunsmuir, age 24, who was away at University at the time of the tragedy.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Let us pray that Kevin, Jennifer, Robert and Cameron are together in heaven. Let us pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.
