Larry Bunn

Tech. Sgt. Larry D. Bunn, age 43, of Bossier City, Louisiana, died on March 7, 2013, as a result of a non-combat incident at an undisclosed base in Southwest Asia.

It is reported that Larry died of a heart attack. 

He was assigned to the 307th Maintenance Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. 

He was an aerospace ground equipment technician. He earned an Associate degree in Aerospace Ground Equipment from the Community College of the Air Force. First a member of the 917th Wing, he served with it until its deactivation in January 2011 and then moved to the 307th Bomb Wing.

Larry deployed three times in support of operations in southwest Asia. Twice he deployed to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, first in 2002 and later in 2005. His third and final deployment was in September of 2012.

Family members and friends are in shock over this sudden and tragic death. 

Friends stated that Larry was all about his 6 kids who he talked about all the time.

Military colleagues stated that Larry was a mentor and father figure to the younger troops. He is also described as a big, good-hearted guy who would do anything for you. 

Larry is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife, Tammy; 4 children and 2 step-children. 

Pray for all who die in a foreign land, away from their loved ones. Amen.
