Jamie Webb

British Lance Corporal Jamie Webb, age 24, died on March 26, 2013, in the Nad-e Ali District of Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

He died of injuries sustained during an attack on his patrol base.

He was a member of the 1st Battalion The Mercian ­Regiment.

Jamie was born in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester and went to Wilmslow High School and Macclesfield College in Cheshire.

He enlisted at age 18 and joined 1st Battalion The Cheshire Regiment in September of 2006.

He had deployed to Northern Ireland, Iraq, and twice to Afghanistan.

Family members stated that they are very proud of Jamie. He will be forever missed.

Military officials describe Jamie as hugely talented and always with a smile on his face. He was professional and bright.

He was always willing to engage in some witty banter. He boosted the morale of his
Angels of God, pray for Jamie
colleagues.

His fellow soldiers will miss him terribly. They have lost a great friend.

Jamie is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his father, Dave, and mother, Sue.

Thank you for serving, Jamie. 

Let us pray that Jamie is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
