David Fenn II

Lance Cpl. David P. Fenn II, age 20, of Polk City, Florida, died in the line of duty, on March 18, 2013, in Hawthorne, Nevada.

David was the victim of a mortar shell explosion at an army depot during a training exercise.

He was a mortarman assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines.

Among other honors, he earned a NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan and Afghanistan Campaign Medal.

David attended Auburndale High School. He was active in the ROTC program and was a member of the wrestling team.

Family members stated that David was a good dad, a good person and a good husband.

David had always wanted to be part of the military.

Friends describe David as a down to earth type of man and a hard worker.

David is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife, Victoria and his daughter, Nyka.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.
