Cedric Charenton - French soldier killed in Mali

French Parachutist Corporal Cedric Charenton, age 26, from Marmande, died in the line of duty on March 2, 2013, in the Adrar des Ifoghas mountains in Mali.

He was member of the 1st Parachute regiment of hunters Pamiers in Ariège. 

He had almost four years of service in the Army. 

He was killed during intense fighting in the campaign to push back a jihadist advance in Mali. 

Cedric had previously served in Afghanistan, Gabon and New Caledonia.

Cedric is survived by many loving friends and relatives. He will be forever missed. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
