Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence - murdered in California

Keith and Monica
Monica Quan, age 28, and Keith Lawrence, age 27, died on February 3, 2013, in Irvine, California.

They were shot to death in their car in the parking structure of their condo building.

The couple were college sweethearts at Concordia University. They were engaged to be married.

Monica was an assistant basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton and Keith was a public safety officer at the University of Southern California.

The suspect in this tragic case is Christopher Jordan Dorner, age 33, who has not been apprehended as of this posting. He is also linked to the recent shootings of police officers in Corona, California and Riverside, California.

Christopher Dorner
The murders of Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence are presumed to be revenge oriented.

Christopher Dorner was a Los Angeles Police Officer from 2002 until 2009, when he was accused of making false statements against another officer. He said that the other officer had kicked a suspect in the chest. The suspect was a schizophrenic with severe dementia. The department determined that this was a false statement.

Randal Quan, was a former Los Angeles Police Department captain who became a lawyer in retirement. He represented Christopher Donner in front of the Board of Rights, a tribunal that ruled against Donner. He was fired from the Police Department.

Randal Quan is the father of Monica Quan, the young woman murdered with her fiancé.

Apparently police have found a "manifesto" written by Christopher Dorner that states: "I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, (so) I am terminating yours."  Meaning he is terminating the family of Randal Quan in retaliation for him getting fired from the Police Department.

Keith's comrades at USC's Department of Public Safety describe him as an honorable, compassionate and professional member of their department.

Angels of God, pray for Monica and Keith
Monica is described as someone who was focused, well-liked and a talented athlete.

Monica and Keith are survived by many loving friends and relatives.

God save us from the Lost Ones who stalk the Earth stealing away life. Amen.

God save us from those who take revenge on the innocents.  Amen.

Let us pray that Monica and Keith are in heaven. Let us pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.
