LaTasha Jones and daughter murdered in Houston

Jesus, pray for LaTasha and
Jakayla
LaTasha Jones, age 35, and her daughter, Jakayla Newhouse, age 13, were murdered on December 24, 2012, in a suburb of Houston, Texas.

The victims were found deceased from gunshot wounds in their townhome. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence. LaTasha and her boyfriend, Curtis James Adams, age 44, had a disturbance earlier in the day.

Curtis James Adams is the father of LaTasha's 7 year old son.  He was not the father of Jakayla.

His relatives became concerned when he told them he had taken care of "unfinished business" and had "gotten rid of some things that had been troubling him."   His relatives reported that he was carrying a gun and was drunk.  Police have charged him with capital murder in connection with these deaths.

LaTasha and Jakayla's relatives are shocked and grieving.

LaTasha had just finished nursing school and was currently working at Home Depot.

LaTasha and Jakayla are survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Pray for those who die young and violently.

God save us from those who say they love us and then kill us.

Let us pray that LaTasha Jones and Jakayla Newhouse are in heaven. Let us pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.

This was my coworker I used to work with. She will be deeply missed. She always had a smile on her face, loud spoken, and loved her kids. She was a strong willed person. Latasha and Jakayla will be missed. RIP
