Aaron Henderson

Sgt. 1st Class Aaron A. Henderson, age 33, of Houlton, Maine, died on October 2, 2012, at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit on September 30, 2012, with an improvised explosive device in Zombalay Village, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Aaron was a 1997 graduate of Hodgdon High School, where he was very much into baseball and basketball. 

Friends stated that Aaron wanted to make a difference with his life. He was a man of few words but had a special character.

Baptist church officials stated that he was a son of their community who was dearly loved and who loved dearly. 

Aaron Henderson is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Christine; and his brother, Sam. He was predeceased by his father, Dallas, who died of a heart attack in 2010. 

Pray for Christine Henderson who has suffered the sudden loss of her husband and her son in a short time. God help us. 

Let us pray that Aaron Henderson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
