Robert Potter - Law Enforcement - New Mexico

Officer Robert Potter, age 41, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, died in the line of duty on August 16, 2012, near Vado, New Mexico.

Robert was a member of the New Mexico Motor Transportation Police Department. He had 7 years of service. 

He was a K-9 officer.  He was a Marine Corps veteran.

Robert and several officers responded to a tractor-trailer crash scene on a highway near Vado. After assisting and performing life saving actions, he suffered a heart attack and lost consciousness. He was transported to a hospital in Las Cruces where he was pronounced deceased.

Police officials stated that Robert will be sorely missed. 

Robert is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife JoAnne and their son, Matthew Duke. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Let us pray that Robert Potter is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
