Louis Torres

Sgt. Louis R. Torres, age 23, of Oberlin, Ohio, died on August 22, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, of wounds suffered when he encountered an enemy improvised explosive device on August 6, 2012, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Louis was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

Louis entered the Army in 2008 and had been in Afghanistan since December. It was his second deployment, having also served in Iraq for nearly a year.

Louis is survived by many loving friends and relatives. 

Pray for those who die young. 

Pray for those who are injured and who linger and thereby suffer.  Amen. 

Let us pray that Louis Torres is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
