Kyle McClain

Spc. Kyle B. McClain, age 25, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, died on August 1, 2012, in Salim Aka, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained from the explosion of an roadside explosive device.

He was assigned to 1433rd Engineer Company, 507th Engineer Battalion, 177th Military Police Brigade, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Kyle was born in Korea and was adopted by the McClain family.  

He graduated from Rochester High School in 2005, where he had been involved with the school marching band.  He attended two years of college, majoring in engineering at Ferris State University before joining the Army.

He had previously served tours of duty in Korea and Iraq.  He had been in Afghanistan for about six weeks. 

Family members describe Kyle as a wonderful treasure, a patriot and their hero. 

Kyle is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his mother Geraldine McClain; father Michael McClain; sister, Kristyn; and his wife, Lisa Morgan.

Let us pray that Kyle McClain is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
