Franck Bouzet

French Chief Warrant Officer Franck Bouzet, age 45, of Albertville, France, died on August 7, 2012, in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was shot by insurgents during military operations in a village in Kapisa. 

He was with the 13th Chasseurs Alpine Battalion (BCA) of Chambery.

He joined the Army in 1984. He had previously served tours of duty in Guyana in 1985, the former Yugoslavia in 1994 and 1998, Kosovo in 2000 and 2002, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in 2005 and 2007, the Central African Republic in 2009 and Afghanistan in 2011. He had been on his current tour in Afghanistan since May of 2012. 

Military officials stated that he was a soldier of great value. It was stated that he was physically fit, focused and professional.

Franck is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and three children. 

Let us pray that Franck Bouzet is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
