Tofiga Tautolo

Spc. Tofiga J. Tautolo, age 23, of Wilmington, California, died on May 27, 2012, in Bati Kot, Nangarhar province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked with an enemy improvised explosive device.

Tofiga was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

He was on his fourth combat deployment. As a Marine, he had served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He joined the Army in May of 2011. 

His awards include a NATO medal, a Global War on Terrorism Medal, a National Defense Service Medal and campaign medals from both Afghanistan, where he had served in 2009 and had been serving since March, and Iraq, where he twice served in 2008.

Tofiga is survived by many loving friends and relatives. 

Let us pray that Tofiga Tautolo is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
