Stephen Healey

British soldier Cpt. Stephen James Healey, age 29, of Cardiff, Wales, died on May 26, 2012, in the Nahr-e Saraj region of Helmand Province, Afghanistan, when his armoured vehicle was blown up by an improvised explosive device.

Stephen was a member of the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He attended Swansea University, where he studied for a sports science degree, and then joined the Army in 2007. He was commissioned into the 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh (The Royal Welch Fusiliers) in 2008.

Military officials describe him as a brilliant officer and a truly outstanding individual. They also stated that he was one of the most charismatic and professional leaders any of them had the privilege of serving with.

Angels of God, pray for Stephen
Family members stated that Stephen was all you could wish for in a son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by us all. He managed to do more in his 30 years than most people do in a lifetime.

Stephen is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father, John; mother, Kerry; brother, Simon; and his girlfriend, Thea.

Let us pray that Stephen Healey is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
