Raphael, Archangel, pray for Cale
Cale joined the Army in February of 2011 and trained as an infantryman at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was assigned to Lewis-McChord last summer and was deployed to Afghanistan in April of 2012. This was his first tour of duty overseas.

Friends stated that Cale always put others first and that he liked to make others smile. Others describe him as a hard worker and a tremendous young man.

Family members stated that they are very proud of Cale's contribution to his country and that he is greatly loved. They stated that he died doing what he wanted to do.

They also issued this statement: "As he did throughout his life, his final act on this earth was selfless, and his sacrifice prevented the deaths of several of his battle buddies. Cale was a hero in everyday life, always putting others before himself, including giving his life so that others may live. He was also a warrior on the battlefield, and his loss is felt sharply by his fellow soldiers."

Cale is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Deborah Collins; and his sister.

Let us pray that Cale Miller is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
