Ryan Tvelia - Law Enforcement - Massachusetts

Deputy Sheriff Ryan Tvelia, age 42, of Plainville, Massachusetts, died on April 10, 2012, in Walpole, Massachusetts. 

Ryan was a member of the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office. He had 11 years of service. 

Ryan was killed in a motorcycle accident on I-95, in Walpole, while en route to Quincy to assist with the funeral detail for the mother of a fellow deputy. His department-issued motorcycle collided with a vehicle near Exit 11 at approximately 7:40 am. He was then struck by a second vehicle, suffering more severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police Officials stated that Ryan was a highly regarded, highly respected and beloved officer. It was also stated that Ryan was up for any task put to him - from transporting prisoners, to representing the department in a regional law enforcement coalition, to responding to fights at the county jail in Dedham.

Ryan is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife; a 19-year-old daughter and two sons, ages 15 and 18.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Ryan Tvelia is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
