Michael Walizer - Law Enforcement - Virginia

Deputy Sheriff Michael Walizer, age 36, died in the line of duty on March 31, 2012, in Charles City, Virginia.

Michael was a member of the Charles City County Sheriff's Office, Virginia. He had 6 years of service with the department and a total of 11 years of service in law enforcement.

Michael was killed in an automobile accident while responding to backup another deputy on a traffic stop at approximately 2:00 am. He was driving on John Tyler Highway, one mile west of Route 155, when his patrol car ran off the right side of the roadway. The patrol car then crossed over to the other side of the road and struck a tree. Despite wearing a seat belt, he suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Friends describe Michael as having a free spirit, a man who loved life and a kidster. It was also stated that he truly enjoyed serving the community and that he will be greatly missed. 

Michael is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and 4 children.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Michael Walizer is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
