Eric Willmon - Law Enforcement - Texas

Police Officer Eric Willmon, age 41, died on April 17, 2012, in Texas.

Eric was a member of the Lufkin Police Department in Texas. He had 10 years of service with the Department.

Eric died of complications related to leukemia. His battle with cancer caused an abnormality in the functioning of his heart and his death was the result of complications from surgery performed to restore normal function.

Police Department officials stated that his passing leaves an unfillable hole in the lives of his family, his friends, his Department, and his community.

Jesus, pray for Eric and for
his children, who have lost their
father
It was also stated that Eric was a model police officer; reliable, dependable, consistent, thorough, and professional. He was such a good mix in every way, personally and professionally. He didn’t neglect any duty, no matter how small, and he didn’t take matters further than necessary. He truly served the citizens of Lufkin with distinction.

Eric's father, Don Willmon, also a police officer, was killed in 1979 in the line of duty. This family has suffered greatly.

Eric is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife Stefani, his son, Carter, and his daughter Chloe.

Pray for all who suffer from cancer. Amen.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Eric Willmon is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
