Jamison Kampmeyer - Firefighter and Law Enforcement - Wisconsin

Firefighter Jamison Kampmeyer, age 34, died on March 4, 2012, in the line of duty, in Abbotsford, Wisconsin.

Jamison was a volunteer member of the Colby Fire Department in Michigan. He was also a full-time Deputy Sheriff for Marathon County, Wisconsin.

Jamison and about 35 other firefighters from various counties were fighting a fire at a movie theatre in Abbotsford, when he fell through the roof of the burning building. He died at the scene of the fire.

Jamison joined the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department in April of 2004, worked the midnight shift and was a member of the SWAT team. He was also an adjunct criminal justice adviser at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Light a candle for Jamison.
Light his way to Heaven.
Police officials stated that he enjoyed his job and took it seriously. Others describe him as having a pleasant personality and a man who was able to connect easily to others.

Jamison is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and 3 young children.

Jamison is a modern day American hero. He didn't have to be a volunteer firefighter as well as a Deputy Sheriff. He did it out of service to his community. Men like Jamison are the true heroes in this life.  They do more than is expected of them.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jamison Kampmeyer is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
