Dan Collins - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

British Lance Sergeant Dan Collins, age 29, died on January 1, 2012, in Cardigan, West Wales.

He had been a member of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards.

He hung himself. He was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

He saw his his two best friends die in battle in Afghanistan. During his military service, he had been shot in the back, his leg was grazed by a bullet and he was involved in two bomb blasts which almost killed him.

Angelo, a Union Soldier,
who killed himself due
to PTSD in 1864.
This goes on forever.
When he returned home from his last tour of duty, he was deeply troubled and would wake up screaming in the night. Loud sounds made him hit the floor because they sounded like gunfire.

God help all soldiers who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  This disorder will continue forever, as long as there is war on this planet.

Pray for all soldiers who embrace death as their escape from torment.

Pray for those who loved Dan Collins.  They have lost their hero.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dan Collins is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
