Joshua D. Corral

Lance Cpl. Joshua D. Corral, age 19, of Danville, California, died on November 18, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California.

He was known as "Chachi" to his friends. Joshua had only been in Afghanistan for about two-and-a-half months. He was among 10 friends who enlisted in the military soon after graduating from San Ramon Valley High School in 2010.

Light his way to Heaven.
Friends stated that he was very devoted to his family, to his friends, and to his country. Others describe him as focused with a sense of purpose. 

His personal service awards include the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Joshua is survived by numerous loving friends and family members including his parents and 3 brothers.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Joshua D. Corral is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
