He was born in Milan. He was part of Reggimento Lagunari Serenissima. He joined that regiment in 2007.

This was his second deployment to Afghanistan. He also previously served in Bosnia.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta and their daughter who is now thirteen months old.
He was involved in training members of the Afghani military.
Family members stated that Riccardo was full of life, was devoted to the military and that he will be greatly missed by his family.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Riccardo Bucci is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
