Brett E. Wood

Pfc. Brett Wood, age 19, of Owen Valley, Indiana, died on September 9, 2011, in Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a roadside bomb explosion.

Brett Wood and his 21-year-old brother Nikk enlisted in the Army and went off to boot camp together in the summer of 2010, after Brett Wood graduated from Owen Valley High School.

Brett Wood was deployed to Afghanistan in April of 2011 and was home on leave in August after a bomb explosion caused a concussion and hearing loss.  The death of this boy was due to the second bomb explosion this poor kid was involved in. 

Light a candle for Brett. Light
his way to Heaven. 

Family members stated that he was proud to serve his country. 

Pray for all 19 year olds who die in the line of duty. They are only teenagers. God help us all. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brett E. Wood is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
