Alberto L. Obod Jr.

Pfc. Alberto L. Obod Jr., age 26, of Orlando, Florida, died on August 28, 2011, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered during a vehicle roll-over. 

He was assigned to the 391st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Bamberg, Germany.

Alberto was originally from South Digos in the Philippines and attended the Holy Cross Academy of Digos. 

He became an American citizen in April, during a naturalization ceremony at Kandahar Air Field.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Alberto L. Obod Jr. is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
