Konstantinos was the head of fire services in Gythion, Greece.
He was involved in fighting a forest fire in his area. The fire was being tackled by 20 firefighters, a team of soldiers, four water-dropping aircraft and eight vehicles.

He was a with a driver, who he instructed to look in another location for paths to access the fire. When the driver returned, he found Konstantinos dead.
It is believed that Konstantinos fainted because of dense smoke and heat and was burned from falling debris from above.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Konstantinos Kastris is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
