Nicholas W. Newby

Spc. Nicholas W. Newby, age 20, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, died on July 7, 2011, in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his convoy using an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to 145th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Cavalry Heavy Brigade Combat Team, Post Falls, Idaho.

Spc. Newby leaves behind family members including his mother Theresa Hart, father Wayne Newby, brothers Nathan and Ryder and many other family members and friends in the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho area and Connecticut. 

Family members stated that: "Nick would do anything for anybody who needed his help. He'd stick by his friends and never gave up on anybody. He had a great sense of humor.....Nick loved his family, and everybody loved him."

God have mercy on the 20 year olds, who never had a chance at a long life.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Nicholas W. Newby is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
