Jordan C. Schumann


Spc. Jordan C. Schumann, age 24, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died on July 5, 2011, in Paktia Province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Hohenfels, Germany.

Jordian Schumann graduated from St. Lucie West Centennial High School in 2006. He had been married to Sarah for about a year and was expecting the couple's first child in September.

Family and friends describe Jordan as fun-loving, a free spirit, and a caring man.

High School officials stated that Jordan was a good guy who would help anyone. 

Jordan Schumann is survived by his wife Sarah; his parents, Clay and Linda Schumann; a brother, Clay Schumann Jr., all of Port St. Lucie; and a sister, Heather Goldsmith, of Fort Benning, Georgia. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jordan C. Schumann is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
