Augustus Vicari

National Guardsman Augustus “Augy” Vicari, age 22, was killed in Afghanistan on July 29, 2011, by an improvised explosive device.

He lived in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Augustus was a 2008 graduate of Lowell High School, Indiana. He moved to Oklahoma with his high school sweetheart and joined the Oklahoma National Guard. Augie and Holly Vicari were married in September of 2010. Then in June, he was deployed to Afghanistan.

Jesus, pray for Augustus.
Augustus Vicari had only been in Afghanistan for three weeks.

His survivors include his mother, Evelyn Vicari, of Lowell, his father, and his wife, Holly Vicari.

Family members describe Augustus as being a good kid with a great sense of humor. His wife has said that he could light up any room and that he was an amazing man.

Others have said that he was fiercely loyal, especially to his wife, and that he would help anyone.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Augustus Vicari is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
