The End of the World - May 21, 2011 - Nonsense

According to American evangelical broadcaster Harold Camping, the “rapture” — or “judgment day” or “doomsday” — was set to take place at 6 p.m. local time on May 21, 2011.

Harold Camping
Bill-boards have sprung up all over the USA and Canada and in Russia and everywhere else, announcing this event.

Camping had said "the good" would be transported to heaven, while the rest of mankind would suffer through months of agony here on Earth. This man and his followers actually believe this shit. And they spent millions on bill-board advertising. It would have been better if they had spent this money on feeding the poor.

This is all rubbish. Harold Camping is 89 years old. What is true is that he will go to God soon - of natural old age.

Jesus, pray that we are
saved from your extremist followers.
Pray for us, Jesus.
What is also true is that he will NOT take mankind and our planet with him. He seems to think that if he goes, we all go.  This is total rubbish.
Light a candle for understanding -
Light a candle for the
confused and for the lost.

When Harold Camping dies, he will stand alone before God as we all do.

God the Father, save us from the doom-sayers.

Save us from the False Prophets.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph and all angels and all saints, pray that we are saved from the Christian religious extremists who every decade predict our doom and when it doesn't happen, relentlessly predict it again, in the next decade.

Now this man has predicted that the end of the world will occur on October 21, 2011.  If it didn't come to pass in 1994 or on May 21, 2011, let's try for October, 2011.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray that we are saved from these wing nuts. God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son for the salvation of mankind and yet these people think that God is itching to destroy the world now.  I doubt it.

God help us.  God save us from these "end of times" extremist nut-bars. Hear us, Father.
