Emil Kapaun, Servant of God,
pray for Brett
Military officials said that Brett was a magnificent soldier who has had some incredible operational experiences. This was Brett's third deployment to Afghanistan, which followed tours to Bougainville, East Timor and Iraq.  Sergeant Wood was awarded the Medal for Gallantry for bravery in the Chora Valley in Afghanistan, when Air Chief Marshal Houston said he showed “courage of the highest order” and inspirational leadership. He received another commendation the following year.

Brett was also described by the Australian military as highly professional, dedicated and an exceptionally nice guy.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brett Wood is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
