Dennis C. Poulin


Specialist Dennis C. Poulin, age 26, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, died on March 31, 2011, in a non-combat related incident in Konar Province, Afghanistan. He was a gunner in a military vehicle when it rolled over injuring him. He died several days later.

Dennis C. Poulin who began his service in February 2008, was a member of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment from Worcester, Mass.

Dennis deployed with 670 members of the Massachusetts National Guard’s Headquarters and Headquarters Company 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment, based in Worcester, in July 2010, and was supposed to return home this summer.

Spc. Poulin’s awards have included the Combat Infantry Badge awarded in November 2010 “for performance in duty as an Infantryman in active ground combat,” the Army Service Ribbon and the National Defense Service Medal.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dennis C. Poulin is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
