Michael C. Mahr

Army Pfc. Michael C. Mahr, age 26, was killed on March 22, 2011, in Logar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device, rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire.

He was from Homosassa, Florida. Michael was assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, Bamberg, Germany. Michael Mahr was scheduled to come home in August.

His wife, Stephanie stated "Everybody loved him. His Army buddies called him 'Superman.' He didn't have any fear."

Father, Michael is in
Your hands.  Lead him to
Heaven.
Michael Mahr and his twin brother Matthew were born in Orlando and were extremely close, says their mother, Kimberly Albury.

Michael is survived by numerous loving relatives and his 3 year old son, Jadon.

He enlisted April 26, 2010, and at first went to Germany. He came home and left for Afghanistan on Nov. 2, Jadon's third birthday.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Michael C. Mahr is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
