Navy Operations Specialist 2nd Class Dominique D. Cruz, age 26, of Panama City, Florida, died in the Gulf of Oman, on January 18, 2011. She was assigned to the destroyer USS Halsey, homeported in San Diego but currently deployed to the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations. She was reported missing in a "man overboard" incident on January 18. Her body was found on January 19. The incident is under investigation.
The Gulf of Oman is located between the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea south of the Iranian coast.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Dominique Cruz is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen
