Vincent Ashlock

Sgt. Vincent Ashlock, age 45, of Seaside, California, died in a non-combat incident on Dec. 4, 2010, in Afghanistan's Khost province. 

Vincent Ashlock was in the National Guard and was deployed to the Persian Gulf during the first war in Iraq. His wife, Angela, said he also spent a year in Iraq during the recent war before being sent to Afghanistan. She described her husband as funny with a dry sense of humor. Vincent Ashlock spent two weeks with his wife and their 6-year-old daughter before his most recent deployment in November.

He was assigned to the 890th Engineer Battalion, 168th Engineer Brigade, out of Lucedale, Miss.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Vincent Ashlock is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
