Sergeant First Class Todd Harris, age 37, died from wounds he sustained in a small-arms attack.
Todd Harris was an indirect fire infantryman with the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment and had deployed in March of 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
He joined the Army in February 1998, and joined Fort Drum in August 2009. This was his fifth deployment, and second in Afghanistan. He has also served in Iraq and Suriname.
Throughout his career, Todd Harris earned five Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, five Army Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal, the Special Forces Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge and more.
Todd Harris is survived by his wife, two children, mother and father.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Todd Harris is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
