Mark Forester

Mark Forester, a 29-year-old native of Haleyville, Ala., was killed Sept. 29, 2010, during combat operations with his Special Forces team in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan.

Mark Forester was assigned to the 21st Special Tactics Squadron at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., in September 2009. He joined the Air Force in June 2007 and spent almost two years training at Hurlburt Field.

“Mark was a tremendous combat controller and an exceptional human being who set an example of selfless service that we would all do well to emulate,” said Lt. Col. Parks Hughes at Hurlburt. “His death is a devastating loss for his family, the entire special tactics community and the Air Force.”

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Mark Forester is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
