Frank Zaehringer III

Marine Corp Sgt. Frank Zaehringer III, age 23, was killed Oct. 11, 2010, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force based at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Frank Zaehringer grew up in Reno and graduated from Wooster High School. He leaves behind his wife, Cassie; two stepdaughters; and his parents.

The son of Sharon and Frank Zaehringer Jr., he graduated from Wooster High School in 2005. He served in Iraq in 2009 and was on his first tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Frank Zaehringer III is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
