Adam L. Dickmyer

Staff Sgt. Adam L. Dickmyer, age 26, of Winston Salem, N.C., died October 28, 2010, from wounds he suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan.

Adam Dickmyer was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.

He was on a dismounted foot patrol when he was killed. He joined the Army in October 2002 and arrived at Fort Campbell in November 2009. 

Adam Dickmyer is survived by his wife, Melinda K. Dickmyer of Arlington, Va.; father, David Dickmyer of Winston Salem, N.C.; and mother, Stephanie L. Dickmyer, of New Port Richey, Fla.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Adam Dickmyer is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
