Timothy L. Johnson

Specialist Timothy L. Johnson, age 24, of Randolph, N.Y., died September 16, 2010, in Kandahar, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device at Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan.  He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Timothy Johnson moved to California when he was 18 and worked at a local truck stop before enlisting in the military. Timothy is survived by a wife and child.   Timothy Johnson also served in Iraq from 2008-2009. He received several awards since joining the Army in 2007, including:  Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star; Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star; Global War on Terrorism Medal;  Army Service Ribbon;  Overseas Service Ribbon. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Timothy L. Johnson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
