David McLendon, age 30, was killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan on September 21, 2010. David McLendon, age 30, was a Navy cryptologic technician assigned to an east coast Naval Special Warfare unit. He entered the Navy in 1998 and was a graduate of Thomas County Central High School in Georgia. During his 12-year Navy career, David McLendon served at various Navy commands in Norfolk, Pearl Harbor, and Brunswick, Maine.
His fellow service members said they remember David as a consummate Navy professional.
David McClendon is survived by his wife and parents.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that David McLendon is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
