Sgt. Brandon E. Maggart, age 24, of Kirksville, Mo., died Aug. 22, 2010, at Basrah, Iraq after being wounded when his unit was attacked by insurgents.Brandon Maggart was assigned to the 5th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Lewis-McChord.
He joined the Army in 2006 and served with the Fort Lewis-based regiment for his entire military career. This was his second deployment to Iraq.
