Shaun Mittler was serving with the 101st Airborne Division when his unit was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and rifle fire.
The sergeant most recently made his home in Clarksville, Tenn. He had been stationed nearby at Fort Campbell, Ky.
He is survived by his daughter, Cristine Mae Mittler, his parents, a brother and sister.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Shaun Mittler is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen

Rest in peace brother, my memories of us in basic training and our first duty station in Campbell will never be forgotten.
