Terry Webster was serving with 1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment, which was attached to 1st Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles Battlegroup.
Cpl Webster had previously served in Northern Ireland and Iraq. His mother, stepfather and sister said in a statement that he was a "true hero".
He is survived by his wife and 2 children.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Terry Webster is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
