Sgt. Fike was a graduate of Penn Trafford High School and Edinboro University. He had been a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for 16 years and served in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
He was on foot patrol when he and another soldier from western Pennsylvania were killed, while a third was injured.
Sgt. Fike leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Robert Fike is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
